Roughly 15 years ago, Bobby received a divine call from God that forever changed his life. He was anointed and filled with the Holy Spirit, and soon after experienced a powerful vision where God spoke to him directly—revealing his purpose: to lead Christians in understanding their unique callings and to equip them through the Word of God. Bobby has a deep compassion and unshakable burden for the lost and broken, and continues to serve with a shepherd’s heart, boldness, and vision.

Jess grew up in the church and earned her Bachelor of Science degree from a private Christian university. Her life is a powerful testimony of grace and redemption, and she has answered the call to lifelong service to Christ. Jess is a gifted musician with a strong voice—both in song and in spirit—and carries a special anointing to reach women who are searching for identity and purpose in Christ. She leads with compassion, wisdom, and unwavering faith.

Bobby and Jess serve as spiritual leaders, visionaries, and devoted stewards of the mission God has placed on their lives. United in purpose and passion, they are committed to building up the Body of Christ, equipping others to walk in their divine calling, and advancing the Kingdom through faith, truth, and love.

Our Story
HSU Ministries was founded on a principle of integrity. Before asking
anyone to support this ministry, Pastor Bobby Thompson and his wife Jess
invested their own resources for the first year and a half.
Following the biblical example of the Apostle Paul, who worked to support his
ministry, Bobby used his successful business to prove the ministry’s
integrity and effectiveness before seeking donations from others.
This uncommon approach demonstrates our commitment to stewardship and accountability from day one. Every dollar donated is handled with the same care and integrity that founded this ministry. We recognized a critical gap in how nonprofits serve families in crisis. Too many organizations treat symptoms without addressing root causes, creating cycles of dependency rather than pathways to independence. We knew there had to be a better way—a way that honors both the dignity of those we serve and the generosity of our donors.
Our vision is to see every family in Phoenix who faces crisis not just survive, but thrive. We envision a community where people don’t just receive handouts, but receive the comprehensive support needed to transform their circumstances permanently.
